This Summer continues to be filled with margaritas, travel, baseball, and SO MUCH FOOD. I’ve experienced therefore blessed to have the ability to take so many weekend trips in between my long function weeks. The photos below catch a number of the occasions of a few trips to Miami, North & SC.
You can even have a look at my Trip Consultant profile to look at some of the places I’ve stayed. I need to progress about researching the restaurants I’ve eaten at. That’s on my to accomplish list next!
I LOVE margaritas. They’re hands down my favorite drink and what better spot to enjoy them then beautiful, sunny Miami?! I had been in Miami for a trip to the BlogHer meals conference wayyy back May. Our flight was actually diverted to Fort Myers for a couple hours to due a tornado AT THE MIAMI AIRPORT.
Every thing ended up being fine, but we were kept on the runway for hours! I remember leaving Minneapolis around 10am rather than arriving in Miami until 9pm. Therefore, a margarita was necessary.
Next up! THE MEALS. Miami is known for their amazing meals and I had not been disappointed. I took full advantage of savoring everything Hispanic motivated including big dishes of guac, plantain potato chips, and beef liver diet AMAZING Grain.
Surprisingly I worked out everyday within my trip. The downtown Hilton Miami had a good workout center and we walked nearly all over the place we went, too!
This was just a little appetizer selection from a party with Stitch Repair ! We munched on mushroom bruschetta, wines, mozzarella cheese, and amazing bacon wrapped fig. AGAIN, so much food.
Here was the view from my hotel room. It was very humid outside, but everything I loved.
Meet my consuming partner in crime, Maegan ! We actually ate everything we’re able to in Miami, ordering a little bit at every bakery and cafe we went.
One evening we decided to walk from downtown to South Beach to eat dinner at among Jose Andres’ restaurants. I believe it was approximately three miles and a bit scary, but we required the exercise! After all just take a look at what we were eating…
Sticky buns. Coconut Wedding cake Shakes. Cookies.
OH MY.
I think the best was probably the coconut wedding cake shake. It had been certainly delicious and I cherished the raspberry that was included with it.
Then there have been these AMAZING cookies that Meagan simply needed to get and undoubtedly, I had formed to have a couple of bites.
The main one with coconut, pecans and chocolates was absolutely fabulous. But I literally had to stop after two bites. I simply couldn’t eat any longer.
After a few fun days in Miami, I jetsetted over to NEW YORK for a brief weekend with Tony.
Better still than all of the food on the planet.
I love having the ability to see him pitch. It actually keeps me interested in baseball. He in fact got moved up to new group this week, that is extremely exciting! I’m so proud of him.
Of course following a short visit to see him, it’s back on another airline flight within the wee hours of Monday morning hours so I might get back again to my regular work.
I wasn’t back Minneapolis for an excessive amount of longer before I had developed another trip planned back again. This one was a genuine vacation!
Tony and We planned a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I had hardly ever been to SC, but I had been SO thrilled to lay in the beach and relax.
Ps. if you are ever on the Minneapolis airport terminal, eat at French Meadow! Their organic breakfasts are perfect.
Tony picked me up in the Charlotte airport terminal and we drove roughly three hours to Myrtle Beach. We stayed at a resort near Broadway, a place where all the nightlife was. It had been an excellent 20 minute walk towards the seaside, but I love walking therefore i didn’t mind.
Once we arrived, it had been glorious. The beach was beautiful with easy, warm sand along with a salty ocean air flow.
Precisely what I needed.
We spent the majority of our days enjoying cocktails and swimming. Myrtle Beach really doesn’t have that great of meals, therefore i wasn’t that impressed with the restaurants. We just were pleased to have the ability to forget about baseball and work for a bit. Sometimes you merely need a small travel to reflect, you know?
At night, we went with among Tony’s teammates who also been in Myrtle Seaside with his girlfriend. Each night we remained out past due and danced the night away.
If you are in Myrtle Beach, you might check out the ferris wheel overlooking the ocean. I didn’t get a chance to do it, but believe it would have already been fun!
I wish I had been back that perfect weather right now.
After our visit to Myrtle, we drove back to NEW YORK where I proceeded to BAKE ALL OF THE COOKIES. Because that’s precisely what I do.
I also surely got to see Tony pitch around the 4th of July.
And watched him eat a significant amount of food.
We planned a date night time in because we were fed up with extra cash and because we love cooking jointly; it’s fun to taste test, drink wines and disagree on how things should be made.
I really wished to help to make The Pioneer Woman’s Baked Ziti , but with a wholesome makeover. I literally think it’s one of the best italian meals I’ve available myself and highly recommend it.
Here’s it entering the oven. I have no idea why my muscles look so jacked, but I’ll take it.
The finished dish was amazing. We combined it using a aspect salad and garlic bread. I felt good about operating 5 miles that day.
Cause the very next day I ate two of these cookies PLUS THEY WERE GLORIOUS.
Then I got back on another aircraft to Minneapolis.
I hope you enjoyed a few of my travel travels. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to get more travel fun. xo!
