“Tings Dey Happen,” is a solo show starring Dan Hoyle, who tells a dark story of the underbelly of Nigeria. Hoyle was a Fulbright scholar who spent a year in the country studying oil politics. The play opens Aug. 7, at the Off-Broadway Culture Project theater.

In “Human Error,” two investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board become deeply involved in the life of a plane crash survivor. The play opens Aug. 8 at the Off-Broadway Atlantic Stage 2.
